About The Position

Security Engineers is hiring a full-time Hybrid Supervisor, also referred to as a Shift Captain, for a first-shift Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The position pays $21.75 per hour and reports to the Job Site Manager. The Shift Captain supervises and supports security operations at the Honda campus, including armed security response, officer inspections, patrols, traffic and parking-lot monitoring, and assistance with incidents and special events. When no Security Responder is on duty, the Hybrid Supervisor may fill that role and must meet the applicable training and post-order standards. The role requires remaining in uniform, including body armor and weapons, and maintaining familiarity with the campus so the supervisor can access and respond to any area of the plant, including emergency operation of the Links. The position involves driving, visiting assigned posts, coordinating with officers and responders, and providing assistance to associates, visitors, vendors, and local police.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
At least one year of management and office-skills experience.
Maintain CPR and First Aid certificates.
Must be an armed security officer, pass armed training, and have a valid pistol permit.
Must have a valid, unexpired state-issued driver's license and a good motor vehicle record; this is a driving post.
Basic computer experience, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to obtain all required security certifications and licenses.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or the military.
Multitasking and good communication skills.
Experience with Win Team and eHub programs.
Alabama Security Regulatory Board license.

Responsibilities

Receive the radio, keys, and briefing from the previous Shift Captain and check with AAP Central for incidents.
Review Officer Reports and prior-shift information for issues requiring attention, including flags and special events.
Submit shift schedules two weeks in advance.
Conduct quarterly training checklists and audits required by Security Engineers and the Honda contract.
Inspect the assigned vehicle and visit each post assigned to the shift to inspect officers and confirm proper uniforms.
Conduct vehicular patrols across the campus, including the interior and exterior fence and Line 1 and Line 2 parking lots, and ensure Parking Lot Rovers conduct walking patrols.
Inspect associate and visitor parking lots for safety hazards, parking violations, vandalism, theft, and workplace-violence-related issues.
Respond to any area of the plant as a Hybrid Responder, including by operating the Links in an emergency.
Assist Parking Lot Rovers during high-volume traffic in Line 1 or Line 2.
Assist Security Responders with walkouts of terminated or suspended associates as needed.
Monitor parking lots for wrecker services.
Supervise the raising and lowering of American, Alabama, and Honda flags for holidays and other reasons.
Set up barricades and provide traffic control for special events, including the Open House and Annual Honda 5K Run.
Inspect the interior and exterior perimeter fence daily, or ensure the Site Manager does so.
Assist associates and visitors entering or leaving the property, deter unauthorized traffic, and redirect deliveries and vendors as needed.
Provide courtesy assistance such as changing desk locks and requesting Rover assistance with jump-starts or tire inflation.
Assist local police with situations in or around the parking lot and help escort emergency vehicles entering or exiting the property.
Fill the Security Responder role when no Security Responder is on duty, following the applicable responder post orders or SOP.
