About The Position

The Hybrid Operator completes preventive maintenance tasks on equipment at the Maritime facility, supports continuous improvement, and assists the vessel ship-loading crew in safely and efficiently loading bulk cargo. The role also performs operational duties related to vessel loading and heavy equipment operation. The position is not eligible for visa support.

Requirements

Willingness and ability to work outdoors and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
Willingness and ability to work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments.
Willingness and ability to adhere strictly to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
Willingness and ability to lift, walk, climb, stoop, stand, push, and/or pull for up to 12 hours a day.
Willingness and ability to work around moving equipment and machinery.
Willingness and ability to pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform essential job functions safely and successfully consistent with ADA and applicable federal, state, and local standards, including qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Responsibilities

Follow workplace and job safety procedures.
Perform preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance associated with 24/7 Maritime operations.
Provide regular lubrication and apply lubricants as needed.
Service mobile equipment.
Identify corrective actions and troubleshoot equipment reliability issues, escalating issues promptly for resolution.
Enter maintenance orders as necessary and communicate with the maintenance department.
Operate the control room to ensure vessels are loading correctly, including load rate, gate control, and fine mitigation.
Understand the load plan and maintain customer specifications.
Operate heavy equipment on vessels, including loaders, cranes, and ship loaders.
Keep the area clean, neat, and orderly in accordance with housekeeping standards.
Perform other related duties and serve as a backup resource as needed.
Assist the vessel ship-loading crew to safely and efficiently load bulk cargo.
Drive continuous improvement.
