About The Position

ConServ Building Services is hiring a commercial HVACR Lead Installer. The position requires travel between North and South Carolina, with a company van and gas card provided. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekend work. The installer reads drawings, scopes, and equipment submittals; applies local mechanical codes; estimates job pricing and material needs; coordinates installation work with other trades; installs ductwork, mechanical equipment, piping, and controls; and reports completed work through a company tablet. Copper brazing, equipment startup, and troubleshooting are a plus.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in the HVAC trade.
EPA certification.
Refrigeration knowledge.
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and an onsite drug test.
Clean driving record and valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Experience with copper brazing, equipment startup, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Read and comprehend drawings, scopes, and equipment submittals.
Apply knowledge of local mechanical codes for estimating and inspections.
Estimate job pricing, perform material takeoffs, and order materials needed to complete jobs.
Lay out ductwork for installation and coordinate with other trades.
Install sheet metal, fibrous board, and flex duct, dampers, and air devices.
Measure and draw sheet metal duct fittings for ordering.
Hang and set exhaust fans, louvers, units, and other mechanical equipment.
Hang copper, PVC, and piping hangers for refrigerant, condensate, and chilled-water piping.
Insulate ductwork with exterior fiberglass wrap.
Install low-voltage control wiring for thermostats, dampers, heaters, and other control devices.
Communicate completed work daily through a company tablet.
Perform copper brazing, equipment startup, and troubleshooting where applicable.
