About The Position

As an HVACR Instructor, you will play a direct role in developing the skilled workforce our region depends on. By sharing your industry knowledge and hands-on experience, you will help students gain the technical skills, confidence, and certifications needed to succeed in high-demand careers while supporting the growth of local industry and communities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• EPA Universal certification.
• At least five years of HVACR field experience.
• Knowledge and ability to teach a variety of HVACR courses.
• Strong communication, organization, computer, and instructional skills-and a student-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Teach credit and non-credit HVACR courses using practical instruction, demonstrations, and assessments.
• Train students to use tools, equipment, and supplies safely and follow proper HVACR procedures.
• Develop course materials and work with colleagues to improve curriculum and student learning.
• Advise, tutor, and mentor students; provide timely feedback and connect them with support when needed.
• Help students explore employment, certification, and further education opportunities.
• Build relationships with industry partners to support student placement and training opportunities.
• Maintain safe, operational instructional equipment and accurate course records.
• Participate in recruitment events, committees, professional development, and other college activities.
