About The Position

This truck-based leadership position is ideal for a hands-on HVAC professional who can balance technical service, customer communication, and field coordination. You will lead by example, support technicians in the field, and help deliver quality outcomes at the time of service.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Journeyman License.
  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC or mechanical troubleshooting experience.
  • Demonstrated field leadership experience and the ability to coordinate the work of other employees and contractors at customer sites.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Appropriate licenses to work with refrigerants.
  • Boiler and steam operational and service knowledge.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities in a field service environment.
  • Accurate documentation habits and strong customer-facing professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with industrial HVAC chiller systems, plumbing, pipefitting, security and fire, or other mechanical equipment service work.
  • Computer literacy and comfort using field service technology.
  • Experience supporting quotes, scheduling, and pull-through work.
  • Additional hands-on experience in residential, light commercial, or industrial service environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day field activity for truck-based HVAC technicians and support the coordination of work at customer sites.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and replacement of HVAC mechanical equipment and Building Control Systems.
  • Provide Level 1 technical support and serve as an escalation point for more complex service issues.
  • Coach and mentor branch technicians while supporting their technical development in the field.
  • Support quoting, estimates, scheduling, service completion, and accurate project and service documentation.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams to provide practical solutions and outcomes at the time of service.
  • Provide safety leadership and instruction to technicians and subcontractors while ensuring work meets applicable state, local, and federal requirements.
