HVAC Project Mechanic Foreman (union)
About The Position
Johnson Controls is hiring a union HVAC Project Mechanic Foreman to lead project work in the industrial and commercial HVAC, plumbing, pipefitting, and mechanical equipment service industry. The foreman must be a skilled craftsman with at least five years of practical experience and lead a team of technicians. The role involves customer interaction, job quoting, technician scheduling, safety promotion, and ongoing communication. The foreman must be computer literate and able to develop, close, and manage quoted work. This is a bargaining-unit position. Pay starts at $41.00 per hour, as determined by the applicable collective bargaining agreement (CBA) or rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
Requirements
- Mechanical Journeyman License.
- At least five years of commercial HVAC experience and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Appropriate licenses to work with refrigerants.
- Boiler and steam operational and service knowledge.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Practical working experience in the industrial HVAC chiller, plumbing, pipefitting, and/or mechanical equipment service industry.
