About The Position

Tactica Solutions is searching for an HVAC Technician to provide field-level expertise for mechanical infrastructure planning and maintenance. This role supplies accurate equipment-condition data that supports reliable lifecycle, repair, and replacement decisions. The position is located at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

Requirements

• HVAC certification from an institution accredited in the United States.
• At least 3 years of military facility/infrastructure experience.
• At least 5 years of HVAC experience.
• Satisfactory outcome of a background investigation for Tier 1 access is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the tactical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HVAC, refrigeration, and plant equipment supporting Mechanical Sub-AMP development and execution.
• Perform detailed equipment-condition assessments and validate asset health information in the BUILDER Sustainment Management System (SMS).
• Align daily operations and preventive maintenance activities with lifecycle strategies established in the Mechanical Sub-AMP.
• Analyze failing equipment and provide technical recommendations to the Mechanical Engineer regarding repair-versus-replace decisions.
• Support lifecycle cost decisions for high-value mechanical assets through accurate field data and technical evaluations.
• Collaborate across multiple flights to coordinate oversight and execution of utility infrastructure projects.
