About The Position

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC (SSE) is a government contracting and consulting firm supporting military installations and federal agencies across the nation. SSE is seeking an HVAC Technician (Mid-Level) to support our ongoing mission with the 647 Civil Engineering Squadron (CES) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The HVAC Technician will serve as a subject matter expert supporting HVAC, refrigeration, and plant-equipment condition assessments and Sustainment Management System (SMS) data. This position will provide field-level technical input used to maintain Mechanical Sub-AMPs, prioritize lifecycle maintenance, and support repair-versus-replace decisions for critical mechanical assets.

Requirements

HVAC certification from an accredited institution within the United States.
Minimum of 5 years of HVAC experience, including at least 3 years of military facility/infrastructure experience.
Demonstrated experience maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, or assessing HVAC, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems.
Ability to evaluate equipment condition and provide technical input for maintenance, repair, and replacement decisions.
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with engineers, craftsmen, planners, and other facility stakeholders.
Must be able to successfully complete the required Tier 1 background investigation and obtain/maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).

Nice To Haves

Experience with facility asset-management or condition-assessment systems such as BUILDER SMS or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed condition assessments of HVAC, refrigeration, and plant equipment and update BUILDER SMS data to reflect current asset condition.
Validate HVAC and mechanical asset data used to support lifecycle planning and Mechanical Sub-AMP development.
Align day-to-day operations and preventive maintenance activities with lifecycle strategies identified in the Mechanical Sub-AMP.
Provide troubleshooting and technical analysis on failing mechanical assets and support repair-versus-replace recommendations.
Support development of preventive maintenance schedules for critical HVAC and mechanical assets.
Collaborate with multiple Civil Engineering flights and stakeholders to support coordinated oversight and execution of utility infrastructure requirements.
