About The Position

This position provides tactical subject-matter expertise for HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical plant assets. The role involves conducting condition assessments, validating asset data, aligning maintenance activity with Mechanical Sub-AMP priorities, and providing repair-versus-replace technical recommendations. The position is onsite at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii (Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam) and requires a CAC and a favorable Tier 1/NACI-SF85 background investigation.

Requirements

Performs other duties as may be assigned.
This position requires a Common Access Card (CAC), the ability to pass the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) clearance to acquire a Common Access Card (CAC).
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; may occasionally require standing or moving about the office for extended periods.
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Nice To Haves

EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
Experience with Air Force facility-maintenance operations, BUILDER SMS, central plants, and large-scale HVAC systems.
Experience supporting condition assessments and lifecycle planning for mechanical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed condition assessments of HVAC, refrigeration, and plant equipment.
Update and validate HVAC and mechanical-asset information in BUILDER SMS.
Maintain HVAC and mechanical condition-assessment logs.
Align preventive-maintenance work with critical assets and lifecycle strategies identified in the Mechanical Sub-AMP.
Develop annual HVAC preventive-maintenance schedules.
Troubleshoot failing mechanical assets and prepare technical evaluations.
Provide repair-versus-replace recommendations for high-value mechanical assets.
Coordinate with CES flights and stakeholders on utility infrastructure projects.
