About The Position

Novelis Oswego has an exciting opportunity for a HVAC Technician! The primary focus of this position is maintenance, service and repair of HVAC equipment.

Requirements

• 2 Year Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Tech Program and 1-5 years HVAC experience or 5+ years HVAC experience
• EPA Approved Refrigeration Certificate of Competition for Type I & II or an Universal License
• Mechanical and electrical repair and troubleshooting
• Hand tools & measuring instruments experience
• Experience with pipe fitting, rigging & lifting, rotating equipment, bearings, lubrication, and control systems
• Computers skills / computer operated control systems

Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain the plant facility’s HVAC equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of HVAC equipment and perform scheduled maintenance and regular preventive maintenance repairs of HVAC equipment.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Expand continually, knowledge of technical and maintenance principles and practices as related to area equipment and operations.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
