About The Position

The HVAC Technician 3 demonstrates professionalism through positive communication and appearance while providing exemplary customer service. The role delivers portable HVAC equipment to customers and demonstrates expertise in its use, operation, and repair. It repairs complex Climate Control equipment, provides training and guidance to other technicians, checks in and repairs equipment, performs general shop duties, and delivers and installs Climate Control equipment as needed.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of HVAC experience.
• HVAC Certificate recognizing formal training and the state-licensed ability to work on refrigeration systems.
• Basic math skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record free from points.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to work some after-hours and weekend hours during peak times.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pickups, and service calls.
• Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment and train authorized operators or customers in its safe use.
• Direct customers to sign appropriate paperwork and track equipment serial numbers.
• Troubleshoot and understand the operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of rental equipment.
• Operate company vehicles safely and follow company safety policies.
• Clean and test returned equipment to ensure its operation and appearance meet standards.
• Complete paperwork for deliveries, pickups, and service calls.
• Install flexible gas hose for propane and natural gas applications.
• Use proper and safe procedures to check gas connections.
• Work with managers and sales engineers to maintain accurate records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipment.
• Provide emergency service on call, including rotating weekend and evening response coverage.
