About The Position

Johnson Controls, a leading Building Technology OEM for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, K12, and Commercial Real Estate, is seeking skilled HVAC Servicemen to join their growing business. This role involves commissioning, servicing, and maintaining advanced commercial equipment. The Serviceman will act as a trusted advisor to customers, consulting on comfort, building inefficiency, and other service-related issues.

Requirements

  • Adherence to the company Safety Program.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the maintenance and repair of three phase Commercial HVAC equipment, RTU’s, Heat Pumps and Fans.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willing to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of Commercial and or industrial work experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the maintenance and minor repair pumps, VFD’s, Air Handling Units, and Rooftop units.

Responsibilities

  • Commission, service, and maintain advanced commercial equipment.
  • Consult with customers on comfort, building inefficiency, and other service-related issues.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
  • Recommend solutions to ensure facilities are running efficiently.
  • Identify enhancements that will provide customer systems reliability and sustainability.
  • Provide labor and material quotes to support recommendations.
  • Participate in weekend, night, and holiday call out service on a rotating basis.
  • Assist Journeymen in the repair and service of centrifugal, absorption, screw and scroll chillers.
