About The Position

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair residential heating and cooling systems. This role involves providing an exceptional customer experience and being the expert customers rely on for their HVAC needs. Your technical knowledge and communication skills will help homeowners stay comfortable year-round. Logan Services offers strong earning potential, career growth, and invests in its technicians, with opportunities to earn $75,000–$140,000 per year through a combination of hourly pay and commissions. We have proudly served the Dayton area since 1969 and have expanded to Columbus, Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky, focusing on integrity, continuous learning, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Experience diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of HVAC safety practices and code requirements.
  • The ability to efficiently manage your time and work independently in the field.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • The ability to explain technical HVAC issues in a way homeowners can easily understand.

  • A willingness to continue learning and developing your HVAC skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventative HVAC service to improve system performance and extend equipment life.
  • Identify system issues and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions based on the customer's needs.
  • Clearly explain HVAC problems, recommended repairs, and system care to homeowners.
  • Deliver a professional, respectful, and customer-focused experience in every home.
  • Document completed work, materials used, system readings, and service notes in the company's reporting system.
  • Follow all safety procedures, HVAC codes, and company standards.
  • Work closely with dispatch, sales, and other teams to ensure customers receive timely and complete service.
  • Stay current on HVAC technology, tools, equipment, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain company-provided equipment, vehicles, technology, and tools.
