HVAC Service Technician (Billings)
About The Position
Williams Plumbing and Heating specializes in home service and repair, helping customers maintain comfortable and dependable plumbing, heating, and cooling systems. Based in Billings, Montana, the company is hiring an HVAC Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and perform warranty service. The technician also communicates effectively with the office and customers and keeps the company-issued service vehicle stocked, clean, and organized. The role involves diagnosing system issues, identifying faulty components, and carrying out repairs; handling warranty requests professionally and thoroughly; and providing direct customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and helping customers understand appropriate solutions. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
- Ability to identify issues, solve problems, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of HVAC experience, including service and repair, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems.
- Diagnose heating, ventilation, and air conditioning issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Perform warranty service, including covered repairs or replacements.
- Communicate effectively with customers and the office.
- Provide professional customer service and explain technical issues in clear, accessible terms.
- Keep the company-issued service vehicle fully stocked, clean, and organized.
