About The Position
The purpose of your role as an HVAC Service Technician is to repair, install, maintain, and adjust equipment. You will troubleshoot and repair defective equipment, perform routine preventative maintenance, and respond to work order requests in a timely fashion. This role requires the ability to work some evenings and weekends as part of an on-call rotation and adherence to all safety policies and procedures. Effective communication with customers and the office team regarding work needed or performed is essential.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Driving record that meets company standards
- 3+ Years as a Service Technician in HVAC
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Be familiar with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience making repair and replace decisions to forward to sales team
- Advanced customer service skills
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing medium to large tonnage commercial and industrial HVAC equipment
- Knowledge of basic commercial building systems operations
- Must be a current member of Local 141 or willing to join
Nice To Haves
- Specialty knowledge of chillers, VRF/VRV, commercial refrigeration, or boilers are a plus
