About The Position

In this full-time role with Augusta Plumbing and Heating in St. Cloud, MN, you'll work directly with customers to sell the right solutions for their residential heating and air conditioning needs. Our HVAC Sales and Service Technician travels to customers' homes to inspect their residential heating and air conditioning systems, identify repair needs and potential upgrades, and encourage them to choose us for the job. This is a highly communicative role where you'll use your industry expertise to clearly explain repair needs, replacement options, and comfort upgrades that fit the customer's system and desires. You'll build rapport with homeowners, answer questions, and address any concerns preventing them from approving the work. As you meet with prospective clients, you'll document your conversations and track your success rates. You'll follow up on opportunities and ensure the team properly completes the sold work, jumping in as needed to perform boiler and water heater work yourself.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of HVAC experience
  • Strong diagnostic skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills for confidently presenting service options and closing sales deals
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Physical ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds, and work in a range of positions (kneeling, crawling, climbing, bending, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Sales experience is helpful.
  • Relevant HVAC or industry education is preferred.
