About The Position

TXB Food Stores is seeking a self-motivated, team player to serve as a HVAC Technician for its chain of convenience stores and restaurants. The ideal candidate will also have strong experience with the repair and maintenance of restaurant equipment. The ability to operate safely with a high level of independence is critical to success. You must be able to accurately complete installation and service jobs in a timely manner with a focus on delighting our internal operations team members (our customers). While we prefer someone with experience in all areas noted below, we will train a well-qualified applicant who has experience on most, but not all of the listed equipment. Requirements

EPA 608 Universal Certification
Experience in Refrigeration: A/C split systems and package units, walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, and self-contained coolers/freezers
Experience in Beverage equipment: fountain machines, coffee/tea brewers, frozen beverage machines and water filtration
Experience in Restaurant equipment: vent-hood systems, fryers, griddles, convection ovens, hot/cold serve lines, steam tables and prep table coolers/freezers
Self-motivated
Team player
Ability to operate safely with a high level of independence
Ability to accurately complete installation and service jobs in a timely manner

Nice To Haves

Experience in all areas noted above will be preferred, but training will be provided for well-qualified applicants with experience in most areas.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintenance of HVAC systems including A/C split systems and package units, walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, and self-contained coolers/freezers.
Repair and maintenance of restaurant equipment including beverage fountain machines, coffee/tea brewers, frozen beverage machines, water filtration systems, vent-hood systems, fryers, griddles, convection ovens, hot/cold serve lines, steam tables and prep table coolers/freezers.
Operate safely with a high level of independence.
Accurately complete installation and service jobs in a timely manner.
Focus on delighting internal operations team members.
