About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the working climate of facilities by installing, repairing, and servicing refrigeration and air conditioning systems. The technician will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems, replace system parts, and ensure compliance with codes and standards. Responsibilities also include maintaining fuel equipment, performing preventative maintenance on various store equipment, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. The position involves collaborating with internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems both inside and outside of equipment.
  • Working knowledge of how to replace any parts of the system of a Refrigeration or HVAC unit.
  • Ability to weld and solder copper and steel tubing.
  • Complies with local, state, and federal codes and standards.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains a professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and safety training classes; reviewing professional publications.
  • Maintains fuel equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning and maintaining gasoline dispensers and related equipment.
  • Provides preventive maintenance and testing of the fuel system(s).
  • Maintains gas dispensers by changing nozzles, hoses, splashguards, filters, electronic circuit boards, and displays.
  • Keeps equipment, systems, and building ready for use by repairing equipment, doors, plumbing, floor tiles, painting, food service equipment, and other items inside and outside of the stores.
  • Maintains Point of Sale equipment, Frame Relay equipment, and safes by troubleshooting, repairing, and reprogramming equipment.
  • Partners with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance of fueling equipment.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with Circle K and OSHA procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Partners with Circle K Supervisors to facilitate repairs without-sourced vendors.
  • Facilitates repairs by contacting service vendors for materials and parts.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
  • Participates in training classes for existing and new equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Restores and repairs faulty or inoperative refrigeration and HVAC systems and associated equipment.
  • Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems both inside and outside of equipment.
  • Replaces parts of refrigeration or HVAC units.
  • Inspects refrigeration and HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Welds and solders copper and steel tubing.
  • Complies with local, state, and federal codes and standards.
  • Ensures required parts and equipment are available for refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on all HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including filter changes and regular cleaning.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and safety training classes; reviewing professional publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains fuel equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, and maintaining gasoline dispensers and related equipment.
