About The Position

This position allows you to maintain essential heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems that support resident comfort at South Mountain Restoration Center. Requirements

• Two years of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, units, and equipment; or Completion of a three-year Vo-Tech training program in refrigeration, HVAC, or building automation and six months experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, related digitally controlled equipment, or BA systems; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration equipment.
• Must obtain EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification from an approved provider within 6 months of employment.
• Possession of an active motor vehicle license.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect temperatures, maintain refrigerators, freezers, coolers, ice machines, and walk-in boxes
• Install new refrigeration and HVAC equipment when needed
• Make adjustments and repairs to steam, hot water, and gas heating systems
• Operate recovery and recycling equipment and follow EPA regulations when handling refrigerants
• Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, and parts replacement for related machinery
• Order supplies and maintain proper stock for repair operations
