About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC-R Technician to join the Facilities team and support Lincoln Surgical Hospital, Eye Surgical Associates, Sutton Dermatology + Aesthetics, Nebraska Surgery Center, and Nebraska Orthopaedic Surgery Center. The technician maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and optimizes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, helping ensure building systems operate efficiently and safely and provide a comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The schedule is either 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
HVAC-R certification.
Valid driver's license.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Commercial HVAC-R experience.

Responsibilities

Diagnose malfunctions in HVAC and refrigeration systems and identify necessary repairs or replacements.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and building equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
Operate and maintain HVAC and mechanical systems using diagrams, specifications, operating manuals, and design documents.
Perform general maintenance and repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Inspect, clean, repair, and maintain equipment such as air handling units, valves, dampers, heat exchangers, boilers, chillers, thermostats, VAV systems, and other heating and cooling components.
Ensure adequate supplies and materials are available to complete maintenance assignments efficiently and on time.
Provide guidance and information on the proper operation and use of HVAC-R equipment and systems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
