About The Position

Seeking a skilled HVAC/R and commercial cooking equipment technician to expand services into Lee and Collier counties. This hands-on field role requires strong mechanical expertise, leadership ability, and experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, and commercial kitchen systems. The Technician will act as a regional lead, representing the company onsite and helping scale operations in the area.

Requirements

  • 5+ years field experience in HVAC/R and commercial kitchen equipment servicing.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration diagnostic skills.
  • EPA 608 certification
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to travel routinely throughout Lee & Collier counties.
  • Leadership experience; ability to supervise, train, and motivate small teams.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, charging/evacuation equipment, gauges, multimeter, and service software.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC/R technical school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with commercial walk‑ins, reach‑ins, condensers, and commercial exhaust/hood systems.
  • Refrigerant recovery certification and familiarity with NFPA/food‑service code requirements.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair HVAC systems, commercial refrigeration, ice machines, and commercial cooking equipment (ranges, ovens, fryers, hoods).
  • Lead field crews on larger jobs; mentor and train junior technicians.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system performance testing; recommend energy-efficient upgrades.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system faults; complete accurate repairs and parts orders.
  • Maintain detailed service reports, job documentation, and customer communications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, local codes, and EPA refrigerant handling regulations.
  • Support business development in Lee & Collier Counties: customer relationships, site surveys, and estimating.
  • Coordinate scheduling, materials, and subcontractors as needed; escalate issues to management.
