About The Position

Solid Rock Recruiting is representing an established commercial mechanical contractor seeking a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager for its growing team in the Twin Cities. The role oversees commercial mechanical construction projects from planning and preconstruction through completion, with a focus on project execution, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term relationships. Projects include commercial HVAC and plumbing work, healthcare and medical facilities, manufacturing facilities and cleanrooms, renovations, system upgrades and modifications, and new construction, ranging from smaller customer jobs to multimillion-dollar projects. Compensation is $90,000–$100,000 for less-experienced candidates and $110,000–$130,000 for senior-level professionals, with an uncapped performance bonus program. The company also offers benefits including medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) match, and additional items such as a gas card, vehicle allowance, and company phone, as applicable.

Requirements

• Commercial mechanical construction project management experience is preferred.
• Background in HVAC, sheet metal, ductwork, or plumbing.
• Understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and financial performance.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain productive customer relationships.
• Stable employment history and interest in a long-term career opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, labor coordination, material procurement, and subcontractors.
• Monitor job costs, project financials, and profitability.
• Coordinate with general contractors, customers, engineers, vendors, and field personnel.
• Manage change orders, project documentation, and customer communications.
• Maintain strong relationships with established customers and project partners.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications.
