About The Position

Join Our Team as an HVAC/Plumbing Foreman (Multi-Family & Light Commercial Construction) – Charlotte, NC! We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC/Plumbing Foreman with experience in multi-family housing and light commercial construction. This role is primarily focused on ensuring all plumbing and mechanical aspects of construction projects are completed as quickly and cost-effectively as possible, while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and current insurance are required.
  • Flexibility to work some weekends/evenings and to travel when needed.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, walk, bend, climb, sit, and stand.
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Basic computer literacy required.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish language skills are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Projects, Excel, and Bluebeam preferred.
  • A relentless, solution-oriented mindset is required to not only identify problems as they arise, but also to determine and implement timely, effective solutions.
  • Clear and effective communication is essential when interacting with coworkers at all levels of the organization, as well as with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills are necessary to delegate tasks efficiently while inspiring the Construction team to achieve maximum productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting in the identification, vetting, hiring, and termination of qualified labor and material suppliers.
  • Attending onsite preconstruction meetings to facilitate coordination between all subcontractors.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering in project designs.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
  • Conducting material take-offs to determine required supplies.
  • Operating hand and power tools
  • Performing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks as needed.
  • Coordinating with a or be the qualified representative to oversee all material deliveries to jobsite or storage facility.
  • Conducting quality control inspections of work, especially focused early on during construction, to ensure work is being performed according to code, safely, in a timely manner, and with minimal waste of materials.
  • Ensuring that all work adheres to safety standards and project requirements.
  • Attending, or coordinating with a qualified representative to attend, all necessary inspections.
  • Working proactively to accelerate progress where possible while maintaining high quality standards and safety compliance.
