As we continue to grow our local brands throughout the Minneapolis market, we're looking for an experienced and driven HVAC Operations Manager to lead, develop, and scale a high-performing team of HVAC professionals. As the HVAC Operations Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day HVAC operations, develop field leaders and technicians, drive operational excellence, and play a key role in recruiting and building the team needed to support continued growth across the Minneapolis market. You'll be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences, improving team performance, and creating the processes and structure necessary to support a growing organization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of leadership experience within HVAC, home services, field service, construction, or related operational environments.
- Proven success leading teams, developing talent, and delivering measurable business results.
- HVAC industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience recruiting, building, and retaining high-performing field teams.
- Strong knowledge of operational metrics and a track record of implementing performance improvements.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and confidence making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and employee development.
- Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field service management platforms is preferred.
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to spend time in the field coaching and supporting team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of HVAC technicians and field professionals to achieve performance goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Build, recruit, hire, onboard, and develop top HVAC talent to support continued market growth.
- Create a high-performance culture centered on accountability, teamwork, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee daily HVAC operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, productivity, and execution in the field.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve revenue, profitability, technician performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with leadership, sales, dispatch, and customer support teams to align operational execution with company objectives.
- Conduct ride-alongs, field audits, and job site visits to support employee development and maintain quality standards.
- Drive accountability around safety, compliance, licensing requirements, and company policies.
- Manage customer escalations and ensure timely, effective resolution of service concerns.
- Develop and implement scalable systems, processes, and best practices that support operational excellence and future growth.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, employee engagement, and overall business performance.
- Serve as a visible, hands-on leader who supports both field and office teams.
