About The Position

American Residential Services (ARS) is seeking an experienced HVAC Operations Manager to oversee our Service department. As the nation's largest provider of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services, ARS offers stability, growth, and industry-leading support for HVAC professionals. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving operational performance, developing teams, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving revenue and budget goals.

Requirements

  • 4 years HVAC Operations Manager or HVAC General Manager experience within a multi-million dollar company
  • Proven leadership experience in HVAC operations or service management
  • Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems, installation, service, and sales
  • Experience managing teams, driving performance, and achieving KPIs
  • Understanding of P&L, budgeting, and operational metrics
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Must pass background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of HVAC professionals - service, install, and/or sales teams, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Supervise and delegate daily operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality workmanship
  • Coach, train, and mentor technicians, installers, and sales team members to improve performance and drive results
  • Drive revenue growth, achieve monthly budget targets, and manage labor and material expenses
  • Oversee scheduling, job assignments, and field operations to optimize productivity
  • Provide technical guidance and operational support to field teams
  • Conduct job site inspections and audits to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with company standards
  • Review reports, track KPIs, and support the General Manager with operational planning and data analysis
  • Resolve customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and local codes
