About The Position

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled HVAC Serviceman with experience in residential, light commercial, and/or heavy commercial markets to work on advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment. The role’s scope is limited to commercial HVACR service. Servicemen must have practical working experience with residential, light commercial, or commercial mechanical equipment and may be required to pass an examination demonstrating special skills.

The company provides factory certification through its Service Technical Academy (STA), with milestone recognition, monetary rewards, and advancement opportunities. The position also offers increased incentive opportunities for executed pull-through work, technology and equipment, uniforms, tools, a vehicle, and a focus on employee safety. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The stated pay rate is $22.56 per hour, determined by the CBA/rate sheet.

Requirements

• Practical working experience with residential, light commercial, or commercial mechanical equipment.
• Experience in residential, light commercial, industrial, and/or commercial work.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• May be required to satisfactorily pass an examination to identify special skills.

Nice To Haves

• EPA Refrigeration certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on light commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Maintain HVAC systems.
• Provide commercial HVACR service within the defined scope of work.
