About The Position

The HVAC/Mechanical Technician/Contractor performs skilled, full journeyman duties under the direction of the Project Manager, Facilities Services. The role helps provide a safe and environmentally comfortable campus while maintaining efficient operations. Work follows generally standardized operating policies and procedures, while requiring discretion, ingenuity, and independent judgment to select solutions within the school’s established rules and procedures.

The position is based at the Franklin Road Campus in Facilities Services. The work period is 12 months, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with evenings and weekends as needed. The salary compensation package starts at $31.12 per hour ($64,727 annually).

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience in lieu of formal high school training.
• Oklahoma Contractor’s License, required to act as MNTC’s mechanical contractor of record.
• Six years of experience in the heating and air conditioning field; formal education or training may substitute for some on-the-job experience.
• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and acceptable driving record, as appropriate.
• Refrigerant Recovery Certification.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of boiler and chiller systems is highly preferred.
