Our senior management team has more than 100 years of facility maintenance, repair, renovation and construction experience, primarily serving the U.S. Government. This position involves traveling daily to perform needed preventive maintenance on HVAC and other equipment, completing PM checklists, closing out work orders, and uploading documentation. The role also includes performing minor repairs on building equipment, working with subcontractors, and maintaining excellent customer relations. The HVAC Mechanic will carry out repair, maintenance, or installation of equipment for commercial systems, and perform inspection, maintenance, adjustment, and repair of equipment to ensure reliable indoor air comfort, as well as laboratory or critical environments. Responsibilities include handling and repairing test equipment, complex centrifugal chillers, direct expansion and chilled water-based cooling systems, large air handlers, electronic and pneumatic direct digital control systems, and air distribution systems. The role also involves operating, procuring, and managing refrigerants, performing repairs on various refrigeration units, maintaining an inventory of parts, designing preventive maintenance programs, conducting chemical tests on cooling tower and chilled water loops, ensuring proper air circulation, assessing vendor specifications, and performing low voltage wiring and BAS system Direct Digital Controllers (DDC). The position requires diagnosing and effecting mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs to HVAC equipment, and carrying out regular periodic plumbing and maintenance tasks.
