About The Position

The HVAC Mechanic is responsible for maintaining a healthy, comfortable environment and indoor air quality standards in accordance with American Society of Healthcare Engineers Standards. The role maintains and repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration systems, and controls to ensure those standards are met. The position is based at Southwest General Health Center, a community hospital in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Building Engineer certificate, an Associate degree in Environmental Technology from the Westside Institute of Technology, or equivalent education.
Valid third-class Stationary Engineers license from the State of Ohio.
General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read blueprints and mechanical schematics.

Nice To Haves

Two to three years of experience as an HVAC Mechanic or Boiler Operator is preferred.
General knowledge of a Building Automation System is preferred.
