About The Position

The HVAC Mechanic maintains accurate equipment logs and helps ensure a safe working environment at Lake Huron Medical Center. The role maintains and repairs hospital equipment and systems, including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems, and maintains the building and its related systems. The position requires certification or licensure in a trade related to healthcare engineering.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to troubleshoot and read schematics and/or blueprints.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade relevant to healthcare engineering, such as steam boiler or HVAC.
• Five years of experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
