About The Position

Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital, located in Harrisonburg, VA, is hiring an HVAC Mechanic. This individual is experienced in all phases of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating. They will inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, as well as maintain parts, supplies, and equipment. The role requires adherence to operational and departmental guidelines and meeting all regulatory and compliance requirements, such as OSHA.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Trade School Graduate
HVAC - 3 years of experience
Journeyman's license for Heating Vent and AC must be attained by the end of the first year of employment
Driver's License
Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification Type 2 (High-Pressure Appliances)
Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification Type 1 (Small Appliances)

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary/vocational training in air conditioning, refrigeration, math, physics, chemistry, and basic mechanics
Universal Certification

Responsibilities
