About The Position

The incumbent for this position must be familiar with a variety of the HVAC field's concepts, practices, and procedures. This role involves performing preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on HVAC and Refrigeration systems, as well as installing new units or replacement parts according to specifications, state codes, and safety guidelines. The position requires the ability to work in various environments, including rooftops and outside on condensers, and to perform tasks such as bending, twisting, and working on ladders. The technician will also be responsible for clerical duties, reading blueprints and wiring schematics, and may lead and direct the work of others. Support services in other fields within the Facilities Department may also be required.

Requirements

• Technical/ Trade School certification or equivalent combination of education/experience
• At least 4 years of experience in the field or related area
• EPA608 License or equivalent combination of education/experience
• Complete knowledge of HVAC
• Complete knowledge of refrigeration systems.
• General knowledge of electrical distribution systems, plumbing, Life/Safety Systems, boilers, chillers, emergency power systems, UPS systems, pumps, motors, VFD’s, and Energy Management Systems.
• Thorough working knowledge of computers
• Ability to learn and comply with the laws and regulations affecting the casino and racing industry.
• Excellent logical thinking skills and strong problem-solving ability
• Excellent customer and employee relation’s skills
• Written/verbal communications skills.

• Prior Casino/Hotel experience.

Responsibilities
