Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Universal EPA License 608 and active California Driver’s License.
- Proficiency with basic HVAC tools.
- Experience in maintenance trades, machine controls, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration components.
- Familiarity with central plant operations.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work a 9/80A schedule.
Nice To Haves
- Strong commercial HVAC/refrigeration background.
- Aerospace or defense industry experience.
- Familiarity with Maximo, CMMS, and building maintenance tracking systems.
- Building automation and I/O troubleshooting expertise.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Advanced computer, math, and analytical skills.
- Experience maintaining HVAC systems for production machinery.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, VAVs, heaters, boilers, air compressors, and refrigeration equipment.
- Conduct routine and special inspections to prevent system breakdowns and ensure safety compliance.
- Troubleshoot and repair systems using hand and power tools, interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Install, modify, and service HVAC and refrigeration systems to meet building codes and safety standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance, document activities, and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor and operate centralized building automation systems, including pneumatic and direct digital controls.
- Support on-call responsibilities and execute additional projects as assigned by management.
- Work safely at heights and handle physical tasks, including lifting over 50 lbs.
