About The Position

Welzig Heating, Air, Plumbing, & Electric is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to maintain, inspect, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The role helps ensure client systems operate efficiently and effectively, providing comfort and safety in homes and businesses. The technician communicates with clients about issues and maintenance needs, delivers customer service, documents completed work, and follows applicable industry standards and safety protocols.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and operations.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

EPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine HVAC maintenance, including cleaning, adjusting, and troubleshooting systems.
Inspect HVAC systems to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose and repair HVAC system malfunctions.
Replace defective components and wiring, then reassemble and test equipment after repairs.
Explain issues and maintenance requirements to clients.
Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with services.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
Prepare reports on HVAC system status and recommend necessary actions.
Perform work in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Follow safety protocols to protect yourself, colleagues, and clients.
