This is an onsite role requiring 5 days in Plano, TX. The technician will be responsible for setting up and performing equipment and test setups for clients, adapting test equipment, examining test samples, reading blueprints and schematics, and following defined test plans. They will evaluate test performance, record and explain test results, and complete test reports. The role involves operating laboratory equipment, performing routine maintenance, and potentially basic calibration. Understanding specific test standards and initiating recommendations for new equipment designs are also key aspects. The technician will receive instructions from and report data to engineers and engineering management, and may communicate with clients regarding test methods and results. The position operates with minimal supervision within defined limits of responsibility. The role also integrates continuous improvement concepts and communicates suggestions for improving accuracy and efficiencies.
