About The Position

The Campbell Area Technology Center in Alexandria, Kentucky, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HVAC Instructor to teach occupational preparatory classes in a career and technical education program. The role is in a dynamic, challenging, student-focused environment and supports the Kentucky Department of Education’s mission to help every student succeed and become postsecondary ready. The Office of Career and Technical Education operates Area Technology Centers that provide state-approved career and technical education pathways. The selected applicant will become a member of the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System. Applicants or employees in this classification may be required to undergo drug screening and a background check. Applicants under contract with a local school district must provide written release from their superintendent before an offer can be extended. The Kentucky Department of Education participates in E-Verify.

Requirements

Must hold a Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught, or a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught, or have four years of appropriate work experience, including two years within the last five years.
Must be able to acquire personal national certifications applicable to the program area. Applicants may be hired before obtaining the certifications but must acquire them at the next available testing period.
