About The Position

Fortis College in Salt Lake City, Utah, is seeking an experienced, highly motivated HVAC/R Technician to join its faculty and teach in the HVAC Program. The part-time professional position reports directly to the Dean of Education. The typical teaching load is two courses each term, with one or two course preparations. The instructor will also provide academic advising to students and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.

Requirements

• Completion of an HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required.
• EPA Universal certification.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.

Nice To Haves

• An associate degree.
• HVAC Excellence certification.
• NATE certification.
• Prior higher education or postsecondary teaching experience.

Responsibilities
