About The Position
Performs skilled diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems on campus. Includes, but is not limited to, closed-loop systems, chillers, commercial refrigeration equipment, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, and all related equipment. Position is designated as essential personnel.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
- Experience as an HVAC Technician.
- Skill in the operation of tools and equipment associated with HVAC maintenance.
- Experience with installation, repair, and modification of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning, and their controls.
- Ability to perform skilled diagnosis on campus systems, including closed-loop systems, chillers, commercial refrigeration equipment, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, and related equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
- E.P.A. certification for handling CFC refrigerants.
- DPOR licensure required.

- Ability to interpret and follow mechanical drawings.
- Significant experience with a diverse university campus setting.
- Working knowledge of building HVAC controls.
Responsibilities
- Performs skilled diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems on campus.
- Works with closed-loop systems, chillers, commercial refrigeration equipment, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, and all related equipment.
- Serves on an on-call rotation.
- Available for emergency call-in and overtime work.
Benefits
- Salary: $52,500 - $72,000 (Commensurate with experience and qualifications)
