About The Position

South West Plumbing is seeking an experienced HVAC Install Lead to install complete residential comfort systems, perform system startups and basic diagnostics, and lead by example on each job. The role includes mentoring and developing trainees, taking ownership of installation quality, and educating homeowners so they feel confident and comfortable with their new systems.

The schedule is Saturday through Wednesday, starting at 7:30 AM, with a set weekly schedule and two consecutive days off. The posting states there are no on-call duties. Compensation is $35–$45 per hour depending on experience, plus a monthly bonus of up to $4,000 and a sign-on bonus. The company provides a weekly paycheck, truck expenses, a uniform, phone, and tablet, as well as ongoing technical and sales development training.

Requirements

• Three or more years of HVAC equipment installation experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in refrigeration line brazing and sheet-metal transition building.
• Ability to install all HVAC comfort systems, including duct design, installation layout, and full fabrication.
• Ability to perform full system startups, including zoning installations, as stated in the requirements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to discuss installations with customers.
• Ability to fabricate multi-kick transitions, offset fittings, and base cans.
• Leadership skills that support trainee growth and development.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Clean driving record.
• Comfort and physical ability to safely help lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, work in tight corners, and work in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of HVAC equipment installation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install all HVAC comfort systems offered by the company, including duct design, installation layout, and full fabrication.
• Perform full system startups on HVAC systems; the job duties section excludes VRV and zoning installations, while the requirements section says startups should be performed on all systems, including zoning installations.
• Perform basic diagnostics on systems that are not operating properly.
• Mentor and develop trainees through effective leadership.
