About The Position
Service Stars is a family-owned home service company serving Fairfield County and the Danbury area, specializing in premium residential plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. They are seeking an experienced HVAC Install Lead Technician with a Connecticut D-2 license to join their team. Requirements
- Active Connecticut D-2 license (Required).
- Minimum 4 years of residential HVAC install experience, with at least 2 years directly leading or guiding an install crew.
- Solid, hands-on knowledge of residential HVAC changeouts, duct transitions, safety standards, and system start-ups.
- Clear communication, sharp problem-solving skills, basic computer/tablet literacy, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
Nice To Haves
- 10+ years of install experience (4+ years in a lead role)
- EPA Section 608 Certification
- NATE Certification
- Experience with digital project management tools.
Responsibilities
- Leading and mentoring an install crew on high-quality residential HVAC replacement and installation projects.
- Coordinating directly with the Install Manager to ensure equipment, materials, and staging are dialed in before heading to the site.
- Taking full ownership of the job site: managing project timelines, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring all work meets strict craftsmanship standards.
- Handling standard physical requirements of the trade: navigating ladders, stairs, attics, and crawlspaces, lifting heavy equipment (50+ lbs), and working in seasonal weather conditions.
