About The Position

The Primary Purpose of the Human Services Provider Program Coordinator II (working title, Area Support QIDP) is to provide quality oversight as it relates to resident rights and implementation of quality initiatives within all components of the assigned area's program related to residential and habilitative services. This position will investigate, with advocacy, any alleged rights infringements as defined by JIRDC policy 2.2.3. Resident related safety concerns without an allegation or suspicion of a rights infringement will also be investigated. This position proactively works to identify systematic areas for quality improvement and monitors systems and processes put in place to ensure that they are maintained.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience providing professional or direct services (either paid or volunteer) in a setting that serves individuals with disabilities.

  • Working knowledge of active treatment programs and their implementation procedures
  • Working knowledge of person-centered planning process
  • Ability to perform behavior intervention techniques
  • Working knowledge of up-to-date best practice in health, mental health care practices, and support for individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Working knowledge of the basics of physiological, nutritional, sensory-motor, affective, cognitive, and social, communication, and adaptive development.
