About The Position

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) is dedicated to reducing recidivism through rehabilitative treatment and programming in a safe, secure, and humane correctional environment, as well as through effective community supervision. Requirements

  • Completion of undergraduate core program in social or behavioral science, pre-medicine or public or business administration or accounting; 18 mos. exp. in delivery of human services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider or review of such services for cost containment/budget planning; 6 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques.
  • Completion of graduate core program in social or behavioral science, medicine-related field or public or business administration or accounting; 12 mos. exp. in delivery of human services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider or review of such services for cost containment/budget planning; 6 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques.
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

  • Project and implementation management
  • Coordinate related workgroups
  • Review and make recommendations to policy
  • Problem-solve with APA (e.g., GPS unit not working, system issues, beacons)
  • Assist regions with administration duties in GPS system
  • Develop and plan for roll out of alcohol monitors
  • Assist in developing OCSS uploading data and ongoing support
  • Liaison with the Administrative Officer 3 on Body Worn Cameras and Tasers with prisons, APA, and vendors
  • Manage and inventory applicable equipment
  • Coordinate Pre-release GPS hookups statewide
  • Responsible for Trainings and quality reviews
  • Monthly report for superintendents and deputy director
  • Maintain and update databases
  • Administrative support and potentially supervise an AP1
  • Access and tracking for police departments wanting access to SCRAM system
  • Support with internal management audits and ACA accreditation
