About The Position

The Human Services Analyst role at the Department of Human Services allows you to support key programs by reviewing data, strengthening procedures, and guiding implementation. You collaborate with contractors, staff, and stakeholders to solve problems and enhance service delivery. This position plays a key role in planning, reviewing, and improving human services programs within the Department of Human Services. It supports program operations through analysis, coordination, and development of policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop plans for implementing the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) and related programs
  • Interpret regulations and recommend updates to policies and procedures
  • Prepare and review SNAP state plans, data reports, and monitoring documents
  • Guide SNAP Job Experience and Training Services (SNAP JETS) contractors and assess program performance
  • Create and present training and guidance for staff and contractors
  • Collect and analyze program data to make recommendations
