About The Position

Step into a meaningful role with the Department of Human Services (DHS) as a Human Services Analyst in the Division of Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) Operations. You will support critical system and data functions that keep Medicaid programs running smoothly. This position offers the chance to partner with technical experts and program staff on important operational improvements. Your work will contribute to the accuracy, stability, and integrity of services relied upon by many Pennsylvanians. This position supports data analysis, system coordination, and operational processes that guide Managed Care membership and claims functions.

Requirements

• One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Review membership and claims information to identify issues and verify accuracy
• Assist in researching and resolving system, enrollment, and batch processing concerns
• Support system changes by working with programmers, analysts, and partner agencies
• Provide clear written and verbal explanations to staff, partners, and providers
• Take part in meetings, studies, and workgroups that influence policies and processes
• Evaluate program procedures to ensure that system logic and enrollment processes follow requirements
