About The Position

This role involves engaging with the public to raise awareness and inspire support for nonprofit organizations focused on humanitarian relief, human rights, and social impact issues. The primary goal is to encourage individuals to become long-term monthly donors by sharing compelling stories and explaining the impact of these causes. The work is performed outdoors in busy areas, often with a partner or team, and requires approaching strangers, communicating complex global issues effectively, and asking for donations.

Responsibilities

• Speak directly with members of the public.

• Inspire people to become long-term monthly donors.
• Raise awareness and support for campaigns involving emergency humanitarian and disaster response, hunger, food insecurity, access to clean water, refugees, healthcare for vulnerable communities, human rights and equality, and support for women, children, and families facing poverty or crisis.
• Approach people and earn their attention.
• Turn complicated global issues into conversations people understand.
• Tell powerful stories without sounding scripted.
• Ask thoughtful questions and genuinely listen.
• Explain how nonprofit organizations create change.
