About The Position
The Michigan Civil Service Commission is seeking a motivated, organized individual with exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills for a fast-paced Human Resources environment. This position will serve as a Human Resources Technician, performing a full range of duties for the Department of Corrections, specifically handling workers' compensation and medical leaves. The role is the first point of contact for Michigan Department of Corrections employees, supervisors, and Human Resources staff.
Requirements
- A strong understanding of the Family Medical Leave Act.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply policies, rules, regulations, and the Family and Medical Leave Act Guidelines.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Education acquired through completion of high school.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Human Resources Technician performing a full range of duties servicing the Department of Corrections.
