The Opportunity CCWD is seeking a Human Resources Technician to join the People & Culture team and help support employees through every stage of their career at CCWD. The Human Resources Technician serves as a key operational support role responsible for coordinating and assisting with a wide range of Human Resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, retirement processing, employee records management, payroll-related transactions, employee recognition programs, and customer service support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and enjoys balancing a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced public sector Human Resources environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment and hiring activities including coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, preparing onboarding materials, and supporting new employee orientation activities.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for Human Resources inquiries by responding to employee, retiree, applicant and general public questions and providing timely, customer-focused support.
  • Prepare, process, track, and route personnel action forms (PAFs), step increases, incentive pay actions, and other payroll-related transactions.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities including union reporting, new hire communications, reciprocity confirmations, badge access requests, and E-Verify processing.
  • Assist employees and retirees with benefits, retirement, and general HR-related questions and forms.
  • Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, SharePoint files, and NEOGOV data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with employee recognition initiatives including service awards and employee appreciation programs.
  • Conduct research, compile information, prepare reports, and assist with HR projects and process improvements.
