About The Position

This position serves as a Human Resources Supervisor for the Division of Institutions Administration and oversees HR functions for approximately 300 employees. This position is responsible for the following: 1. Recruitment, salary administration, benefits, payroll, leave of absence, and time reporting functions for Institutions' Administration staff. 2. Oversees the posting and screening process for Institutions' Administration vacancies and the Correctional Officer positions that work under the Chief of Security. 3. Addresses HR issues, serves as a resource for HR questions/concerns, and supervises the day-to-day HR functions. 4. Supervises one HR Technician I and one Administrative Specialist in the performance of the day-to-day human resources functions; and two HR Technician II (Recruiters) positions in the posting and screening process in Workday.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience required; or 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated advanced experience serving as a Workday Recruiting Coordinator , including managing recruitment workflows, candidate activities, and hiring transactions and troubleshooting within Workday.
  • Demonstrated experience using SAP GUI , including navigation of various system functions and generation of SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) reports.
  • Documented experience in State Government Human Resources operations, including recruitment and onboarding, employee benefits administration, time and attendance reporting, Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) and Leave of Absence (LOA) administration, and payroll processing.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and organizational policies and procedures when managing complex and diverse leave of absence (LOA) situations, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment while maintaining accuracy, organization, and exceptional customer service.
