About The Position

Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. We offer a wide range of services including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. At Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, we are able to bring you a wide range of services close to home, provided by a network of board-certified physicians. We're currently seeking a Human Resources Supervisor to join our Human Resources Department.

Requirements

  • Six years of human resources experience; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of human resources experience; OR A bachelor’s degree plus three years of human resources experience; OR An advanced degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, industrial and organizational psychology, organizational behavior, or a Juris Doctorate plus two years of human resources experience.
  • Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Nice To Haves

  • Designation as a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and coordinate with the Human Resources Manager, Human Resources Director, and Hospital Administration regarding employee shift differential pay.
  • Audit shift differential payments each pay period and promptly resolve any payroll discrepancies.
  • Ensure all applicable staff is compensated according to position, department, and applicable assigned shift.
  • Review pay plan when need arises to ensure agency is continuously and adequately staffed, in order to guarantee patient care needs are met and agency is in compliance with TJC standards.
  • Ensure equitable pay based on Civil Service rules and regulations, HCSD policies and Hospital policies.
  • Keep abreast of changes relative to the Department of State Civil Service hiring policies and procedures and ensure subordinate staff adheres to the same.
  • Ensure Human Resource Analyst are properly trained and in payroll and personnel transaction processing within PeopleSoft.
  • Meets and/or communicates with Department of State Civil Service representatives regarding various issues, specifically during agency audits.
  • Oversee payroll administration and human resources operations for the facility.
  • Attend educational in-services, mandatory training and annual review as required by hospital policy and procedure, or deemed necessary by supervisor.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned to include departmental coverage.
