About The Position

The Human Resources Supervisor will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities: Makes recommendations to the Human Resources Manager; organizes and administers all activities of the Human Resources Department, including development of department goals, objectives, plans, procedures, and systems. Provides guidance to employees and managers in the interpretation of personnel policies and procedures. Recruits, hires, trains, and coaches Human Resources staff to meet established credit union and department objectives. Assists the Human Resources Manager in the communication of personnel policies, procedures, and benefit plans to ensure compliance and understanding. Coordinates and oversees credit union recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, background checks, and, under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, makes appropriate employment offers. Administers benefits programs, including claims resolution, change reporting, invoice approvals, annual review for cost effectiveness, and employee communications. Administers workers' compensation claims, staff leaves of absence, work restrictions, and return-to-work processes between employees and the credit union. Organizes team-building activities, wellness events, and social gatherings to foster camaraderie and belonging.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years Human Resources experience or completion of comparable Human Resources studies
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory/management experience
  • Personal computer literacy with various Microsoft Office applications, ADP and HRIS systems, and be able to utilize the Internet for research and job postings
  • Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws and other laws pertaining to Human Resources/Payroll practices
  • Interpersonal, strong communication, professionalism, confidentiality, teamwork, and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school preferred
